Great stuff.

The Video Central section is quite a welcome surprise.

Top marks to all involved.

Bugger, I was all excited and I clicked on the link "to launch SANFL Vidoe Central" and what do I get:

a pop up saying "Page Not Found".

Just under the link I clicked on it says "You will need Adobe Flash Player to view the video. Click here to install the latest version." which ha not link.

FFS, can't professional organisations properly test stuff before they publish it?
Not going to waste time looking at the rest if the first page I try to open doesn't work.
And what's with clubs and the SANFL publishing new sites just in time for lawn bowls season, shouldn't they be getting launched in March??

Im currently half working as a tester in IT (other half as programmer) and I'd get linched if I let anything like that go out to the public.

Ive worked it out now, still not professional with links that dont work but you can get to some pages you can't get to from certain links.

If you click on "SANFL Interactive" at the top of the page and then click on "Videos" you get a page that doesn't work.
But if you click on "Video Highlights" on the home page it will take you to a link that works.

Feel like Im at work as Im getting paid to tell BAs exactly things like this at work at the moment leading up to a major release, its the tester in me coming out.
SANFL should have sent me an email before they released it and I could have tracked down all their broken links  , mind you decent software also does the job these days for websites.

Header's a bit bland, probably needs one of my photos like the old one had but I really do like the emphasis on "LEAGUE FOOTY".
Not impressed that the stats are in PDF format (hate PDF, noone should bloody use it) but its goot that they're up to date now.
Had a look around and its winning me over, but they must fix those broken links.
I'd like to have something more databse orientated that kept a running tally of all stats similar to what the NBL site does.
I look forward to seeing how its updated.

I find it interesting that in the "A Brief History of the SANFL" overview that half of it talks about upgrades on Football Park since 1997.

Like it, the video highlights are great, except is there anyway you can get a larger screen? also shows how few times Glenelg have been on the tube this year....Im sure the Oseas fans would love the video content

Looks great! The video highlight are an excellent idea. Gives all the clubs more exposure on the front page. Well done SANFL!

in souths history it says played north 258 times/84 wins/171 losses/3 draws

in norths history it says played south 256 times/170 wins/83 losses/9 draws

for starters 170+83+9 doesnt = 256.

Overall, not too bad a site.
Pity that their Premiership table is inaccurate. They have credited Port's draw against Glenelg to Norwood.
Cheers

Was that before or after they forwarded the draw and umpires list for your approval sire?

Give me a break.

Geezus mate, I was joking, I doubt the SANFL would know Im currently an IT tester by trade or use a volunteer, my point was they should have tested it properly before releasing it and at the very least used some software to make sure there was no broken links, most web design software such as Dreamweaver does this.
Im critical of any website that doesn't cover the basics before release as in this day and age its very unprofessional.

Good suggestion about the umpires list and draw coming to me for approval though as I'd do a much better job than the current clowns. I think a 3yo could. I'll email the SANFL and see if they'll agree to it.
Dunno how they'd feel about North playing Norwood 20 times but I would be fair in giving Norwood 2 more interchange players per game as Im sure they'd be able to eek out a win then.

Turn that frown upside down mate, its nearly the weekend! :D

If we are comparing this new site against what went before, then this is a triumph!

I'll go with the top one as it's close to the stats in the 2006 media guide.
