The reason I am asking this is, I think Brad Symes is a huge chace to win the coveted award. He has had a great year without being recognised by the power. His courage and skill have really been on display every week.
It would be great to see him win it and shove it up the power.

He is a very good player and I'm absolutely amazed that he can't get a regular game with the Power ahead of blokes like Lonie but that's to Centrals advantage.

Defenders, however traditionally don't poll that well and he couldn't win it ahead of Callinan surely - who I might add will be a worthy runner-up to James Allan!

In answer to the question No, I dont think there has, Ive just looked through the list of Magarey Medalists since 1991 and there were a few that were on AFL lists before or after their medals but not when they won a medal whilst on an AFL list if my memory works OK.

Yeah i dont think its happened in the SANFL, but has happened in the WAFL a few times i think.

Symes will poll a few votes but Callinan is the safer bet.

Symes seems to be playing more and more as a midfielder as the season has worn on. But in the end it will depend on whether the umpires go for Callinan's flashy play, the Gowans in and under work or Symes ball getting. They may well all take a lot of votes from each other.

Ebert was on ports list in 2003 but didnt play a game for the power. He was an emergency on a few occassions. So the answer is yes.

I didn't think Ebert was with the power then, thought he was picked up the year after. In the WAFL last year, Priddis, now playing with West Coast, played for Subiaco and won the Sandover Medal by the largest winning margin in the history of the medal. The interesting thing is that he missed about 9 games through injury.

I'd like to know if there's ever been a record kept of how many people can pick their nose with their big toe?

And also how well Douglas would be polling in the medal count. I reckon he would have got the "Chocolates" last time we played the Bays.

I think Anthony Ingerson was runner up once by about one vote when he was with the crows, dont know how many sanfl games he played that year though.

spot on, i believe Crane, Sheedy and Nelson from Sturt will be the big voter getters.
