This is a question for South Supporters and SANFL in general,
Is Gary Cameron any chance to be the next South Adelaide Coach
His attributes that could be positive are-
* Former South Adelaide Player
* Former Geelong Player
* Assistant Coach for an extended period
* Coached at Country Level
* Clearly wants the Job
*
I am not sure how he sits with the players (Level of Respect and so forth) and the board, but he will be involved in the interview process so must be some sort of chance.
Any Thoughts?

On the subject of South's next coach, read in the paper today that Darren Mead has ruled himself out of contention.
I dont know much about Cameron, but i think they'd be better off going with a more high profile and experienced type of coach.

They should just get someone real cheap so it wont cost them much money next time the players sack the coach.

If the club does not make some fairly dramatic changes, anyone who coaches the club will be recieving a poisoned chalice irrespective of who they are.
Still with the review underway being led by Kevin Morris hopefully these issues will be concisively dealt with.
Luke Darcy is my no 1 choice at present, yet it is unlikley that he will be moving from Vic at this stage which rules that out.
Michael Nunan is my next choice, yet it comes back to if he has the desire for it or not and my feeling is that with SANFL footy he has been there and done that and looks to different challenges.
I feel that of all the candidates put forward, the best one for South Adelaide is Phil Carman.
Phil Carman is one candidate (along with Nunan) that can show that he has taken a bottom tier SANFL club and made them competitive. He has been there and done the hard yards before. Gary Cameron would do well to serve an apprenticeship under Carman if he has senior coaching ambitions.
Cameron is a good candidate, yet whatever Kevin Morris report is, the likely result is that a number of players and maybe even some staff need to be let go. Someone like Cameron is going to be comprimised in making those decisions, wheras someone like Phil Carman has no such loyalties to anyone and can make the hard decisions that South so desperately need to have made.
