Mark Wahlberg could've stopped 9/11

Mark Wahlberg could've stopped 9/11

Postby Magpiespower » Fri Jan 20, 2012 8:44 am

Some actors just don't realize that it's other people's words that make them look so smart, witty and charming up on that big screen:

"If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn't have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, 'OK, we're going to land somewhere safely, don't worry.'"

Predictable backlash prompted an immediate apology:

"I deeply apologize to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention. To suggest I would have done anything differently than the passengers on that plane was irresponsible."

Now if only he'd finally say sorry for Marky Mark...

... and Wahlberg was cast only in a supporting role, with Chuck Norris getting the lead.

I think John Travolta and Jodie Foster need to be the pilots to give it some credibility
And they need to be in a relationship that is going through a traumatic period because Foster is pregnant and Travolta is married.
The underlying plot is that even though everything in your life has gone to shite, life has a way of showing you to be grateful for what you've got :-({|=

There's a twist in that one of the terrorists is John Travolta's previously unknown son. Therefore John is conflicted and spends 10 minutes getting to know his son with tears and a hug .... before Chuck Norris smashes the terrorist's face in. This leads to a fight between Travolta and Norris which of course Norris wins (not killing John but knocking him out of it for as long as Chuck needs). Chuck then takes John's pilot seat and lands the plane safely.

Unfortunately Helen Hayes (again playing Ada Qunsett) found herself stowed away on the wrong plane "I've got the give this stowaway shit up before I get killed"
She sues the FAA for not providing safe planes for her to stow away on

Back at the Airport, Burt Lancaster has got Jean Seberg bailed up in the Executive washroom completely oblivious to what is happening in the skies

To be perfectly honest, is what he said that bad?
If I was on a plane with my daughters, I'd be thinking about what to do.
The rebuttal quote came from the wife of one of the blokes that did fight back, however he knew about the twin towers hit and therefore guessed what was going to happen.

Only question is why Wahlberg said it

Regarding his career, Entourage is apparently based on his life - I wish one of my mates was a Hollywood star when I was in my 20's :partyman:
