Having recently worked my way through the first 3 volumes of "The Sandman" graphic novels, I've been giving the Netflix adaptation a go.
Reasonably true to the source material, the series does the comic justice. It probably helps that Neil Gaiman himself was involved in the adaptation. The fifth episode left me flat ... but the sixth episode, "The Sound Of Her Wings", might well be the best 50 minutes of television I've seen this year. Two of the best stories from the comic packed into this episode, executed perfectly.
Clowns OUT. Smears OUT. RESIST THE OCCUPATION.
