Actually a personal favourite are the breakthrough maths / spelling computer programs that have 'miracle' results for kiddies neglected by our 'hopeless' public education system. I can always guarantee a couple of drooling parents on the doorstep the next day asking where they can buy these miracles... until they realise their lazy kids are no more likely to persevere with one of these rote-learning programs than they are with things like homework, practice and persistence.

This is an interesting thread.

People who are taken in by con-man financial planners. Usually because they are greadier than the crook who fleeced 'em.
Barking neighbours dogs
Cosmetic surgery gone wrong'
The neighbourhood drug dealer who everyone knows about but the police ignore
Persons lending their life savings or mortgaging their homes on a "handshake" deal or loan

Why is it that people get sucked so easily? Like most people, I have received the email that promises me $US2,000,000 if I help some long lost prince in an African country get his millions offshore and I just can't understand how people can respond to these thinking that they are genuine.

I'm also confused as to how these dumb arses have managed to accumulate the thousands of dollars that they manage to lose to these swindlers.

Council battles. None in particular, but they are usually petty things such as the one I saw last week involving a guy who was fined for having a particular patio on his property. Bizarre, yes, but even more so when this patio doesn't exist.

Hey Bay Boy,

What about "she's a 40 year old mum with 5 kids to five fathers who is ripping off Centrelink and has a house full of cats, mountains of rubbish in the back yard, she's in dispute with the local council over the brothel she's running......how does she keep her trim figure?"

Nice work Gilly.
And great topic ZipZap! Sure brings back memories. One of my all time favourites were the old people eating dog food because "The Hawke government is ripping off pensioners and we don't even have enough money to buy decent food!"
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

They have a lot of ads those shows. How many stories are about a new product or company that offers a service. How much are the companies paying for those stories? Its like the "Brand Power" ads.

There have been some crackers this week including:

autistic / ADD kids and their heroic parents (only if there's great footage of kids throwing stuff at mum)
heroic super-mum who has 10 kids God Bless 'er (10 x $3000 = every sperm is sacred)
Christmas savings to be had at landfill warehouse sales
The female teacher who gets off with her lusty teen male student (you never see it the other way around however - it's cute when a woman does it, pedophilia when a bloke does it)
