Series final episode - the good and bad

Deadwood was a terrible end for such a great show. It was pretty evident that the story was set up for a fourth season when HBO cancelled during the third season leaving the finale with a lot of unfinished business

My memory is pretty ******, but I thought HBO didn't cancel, they just took a hiatus to work on other projects and said they'd conclude the series with a movie. There were plenty of skeptics at the time and they were all on the money
