"An Epic Swindle" - Details the 44 months the Liverpool Football Club self-destructed under the "wolf in sheeps clothing" ownership of 2 American tycoons looking to line their own pockets at any and all expense of the club.

Never a read a book that has me so emotionally involved, and can't put the bloody thing down!!

Over the past 2 weeks have read the following on my Kindle:

Agassi - Thought this was a ripper. First 2/3 of book was sensational then was predictable but not as good as beginning of book - 9/10

All Bets are off, David Schwartz - Pretty good, didn't go a lot into footy just talked heaps on his addiction to gambling. A must read for all casual punters. - 7/10

The king of Spin, Craig Glazier - About a pair of mates ripping off drug dealers/trafficers then becoming under cover agents to finally writing a movie script and trying to sell it. Was a top read and highly recommended - 8.5/10
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Women by Charles Bukowski.

Each to their own.

But I'd love to stage a kindle burning rally...

The Encyclopedia Of Dead Rock Stars. Goes from around 1960 to 2006, with a choronological look at musicians that died on days of each year, their biographical information, background, and how they died.

It sounds morbid but is very interesting, particularly for the number who were lost in plane crashes, and debunking popular myths (the legend of Mama Cass choking on a ham sandwich was apparently the result of a joking remark from a coronary assistant that found its way into some documenation). Some reports are very hard to read - the Lynyrd Skynrd plane crash has accounts from survivors that are extremely graphic - but if you can get past these, a fascinating read.

"Touch me, I'm Sick - the 52 creepiest love songs you've ever heard", Tom Reynolds.

Just brilliant from start to finish. Self explanatory, it analyses the 52 creepiest love songs (by the author's reckoning), in reverse order of the most disturbing. Some of the more memorable ones are a dissection of Alanis Morrisette "You Ought Know" ("this song was responsible for men around the world not getting any action for at least three months, and getting phone calls out of the blue from ex-girlfriends"), Divinyls "I Touch Myself" (dissects the video, and is hilarious is doing so) and Melissa Etheridge's "Come To My Window" (will make any Etheridge fan chuckle on hearing the song ever again).

The sequel to "I Hate Myself And Want To Die - the 52 most depressing songs you've ever heard", which had some rolled gold in that also.

Are the lists published anywhere outside of the books? I'm curious to know what made the cut, without going to the expense of actually purchasing either book. :D

Surely "Cold Ethyl" by Alice Cooper made the "creepy" list? I figure any song in which a bloke declares his physical love for a corpse just has to be called creepy.

Is that by the rugby (ex)player now commentator whose name escapes me?
I'm currently reading the third volume (A Storm of Swords) of GRR Martins "A Song of Ice and Fire".Some heavy going but a cracking story line.
