Conchata Ferrell, who we knew as Berta in Two and a Half Men passed away.

Some of her put downs of Alan are legendary.

Rest in peace. Remember seeing her on the Mike Walsh and Ray Martin shows when on school holidays, and I think once she wore a designer dress made entirely out of garbage bags. A unique personality from the golden era of Australian television.

Was she one of the first people to be famous because she was famous?

She was on the Channel 9 version with Daryl Somers.
She had alzheimers and dementia, didn't recognise anyone and had been bed ridden for about 9 years, couldn't feed herself or anything, so sad. Cruel disease.

RIP. Hand of God, meet God.

One of THE all-time round-ball football greats. Only 60, which is too young, but not a great surprise as he lived life to the limit.

His second goal (about 35 seconds in) against Belgium in the 1986 World Cup is absolutely sublime.

David Prowse, aged 85.

Weightlifter and bodybuilder who played a few bit parts on the big screen and on telly. He was the bodyguard in A Clockwork Orange, and Hotblack Desiato's bodyguard in the BBC production of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. He had bit parts in Doctor Who, Space: 1999 and Jabberwocky.

Oh, and he was DARTH VADER too,

RIP David Prowse. I only really appreciated how big he was in "A Clockwork Orange" (once I realised he played Alexander's body guard), for some reason the Darth Vader outfit (at least to me) didn't properly emphasise how bloody massive he was.
