The word legend gets bandied around to easily but this geezer was.

Vale Charlie Watts one of the greatest drummers of all times. Just a simple kit but man he could hit a groove, a f***en clock as BBKing wound say!

RIP Charlie Watts. Didn't know he was ill.

His drumming (which I think never got the full credit it deserved) and Keith's guitar locked together to create the engine that made those classic tunes rock. Will have a listen to 'Exile on Main Street' tonight in memoriam.

He said (along the lines of ) "If you get cancer and you die, the cancer dies too, right? I'd call that a draw"

Why do dogs always run to the door when the door bell rings? It's almost never for them.

Been watching the new series of Archer but I didn’t know Jessica Walter passed away in March this year, she was great in this show and also in Arrested Development.

Another person who I didn’t know passed a way a few months ago was Clare Dunkel , who was an author under the name of Mo Hayder but I remember her as Candy Davis on Are You Being Served

Interesting career path from glamour model to crime writer.

Former Australian Off Spinner Ashley Mallett has passed away aged 76.

A kind and gentle man, generous with his time.

A wordsmith of note. Rowdy was a good friend of my late father, and spoke at Dad’s funeral.

RIP.

Never heard a bad word spoken about Rowdy. Bit before my time as a player, but fond memories growing up of him calling SA shield games. RIP

The word legend gets thrown around way too often, but Beet was a true legend in every way the word is meant to be used. Graham, Don and Bert. 3 we will never see the likes of again

I was just saying to the missus, I can understand people having a midlife crisis. You grow up as a kid with these people you hold so close yet far away from you in such high regard. You look up to them, you want to be them, you listen to them, you follow them, yet as we get older, they also grow older and before we know it they're gone. Graham Kennedy, Don Lane, Don Bradman, Lou Richards, Bert Newton, Serg Silvangi (for me), and the list goes on and on.

It's a fact of life but it's still really hard to get your head around.

RIP great ones!

The golden era of Australian TV and the three you mentioned were the corner stones of TV viewing for anyone who was alive in the 80's, live variety shows where the personalities made the show, quick wit, moments of silence to emphasise the wit, the odd bit of tension to build suspense. All three would be rolling over watching on the likes of Celebrity Big Brother and Love Island.

Should consider ourselves lucky to have seen this era for there will never be another.

RIP Moonface.
