Best Send-ups of Famous People

Postby CK » Mon Jan 24, 2011 9:36 pm

After "American Dad" tonight on 7Mate, a repeat of "Double Take" aired. While the short lived show didn't rate that well, Paul McCarthy's impressions of Kevin Rudd and David Koch were, IMHO, both very, very close to the originals and very funny. Vocally, both are excellent and the mannerisms spot on.

Gerry Connolly used to do an excellent Sir Joh impression, and Max Gillies impersonations of Bob Hawke, Gough Whitlam and John Howard were also very close to the bone.

Who are some of the better send-ups of the famous over the years, both in Australian comedy and overseas?
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Gina Riley murdering Jackie McDonald when McDonald hosted Australia's Funniest Home Videos.
Apparently McDonald quit TV after seeing this.
