Very few movies really really effect me The Elephant Man, Irreversible and Snowtown are very difficult to watch.

I've got it on DVD but watched Snowtown on TV again a couple of weeks back and it still kills me an excellent film really but too close to home.

I've got it on DVD and only ever watched it twice and probably never will again.

That rape scene and the guy getting his face smashed in with a fire extinguisher are just too brutal.

They've done some good horror movies though like Haute Tension, Inside & Frontiers.

Snowtown was difficult to watch as none of the characters had any redeeming qualities at all.

Watched again the other night and didnt really rate it

I loved the rawness about it and the fact they used real housing trust properties and locations etc etc

But don't think the movie went to deep enough learning about the characters, if u didnt know the story of snowtown I think you would have struggled to understand it.

Had so much potential but for me fell short

I think we learnt all we needed about the snowtown characters. They weren't deep complicated people.

I watched it without knowing much about the real events and was left scratching my head a few times, but I guess that can happen when you tell a story through the eyes of one character. Having read up about the murders since, I'm keen to watch it again, albeit fast forwarding a few scenes..

nah, the movie is really disappointing.
I liked the realness (using trust homes- as opposed to being set in Burnside  ), but they seemed to focus on the wrong parts of the story.
