KEVIN bloody WILSON

Postby Iron Fist » Tue Mar 06, 2012 2:20 pm

has anyone else seen him live?

I saw him last night at the West lakes golf club for the second time in as many years.
Was just as funny bringing out some new songs but mainly the show was very similar to his last show.

I would reccomend anyone that likes his stuff to get along to the show cause it is a great laugh.

Dont bother if you dont like swearing, racism, sexism, ageism, and any other isim that people complain about!

Saw him at the Old Lion in early-mid 90's, and was a great night with some good mates.

It was noticeable however, that his show was almost identical to a DVD of his that I'd already seen (and had been released quite a while before his show) and that he pretty much kept to a script and couldn't "off the cuff" respond to hecklers as someone like Rodney Rude can.

Still was a great night, and I'd go and see him again (in fact given how close to home the WL Golf Club is, I probably should have on the weekend).

Santa Claus is probably his most universally appreciated, but the Kid and Stick That F***** Phone were always among my faves.

Totally agree about the show, seemed it was very similar to the last one i seen 2 years ago, just had probably 3-4 new songs added to the show.
It was the same with the starting act, Jenny Talia from Australia, alot of her songs were the same but she sung a few new ones.
Still is a great night and you will have a good laugh.
Try get along to his shows at Norwood if ya could, recommend it.

On his best song, I reckon it was one of his new ones, it is a parody of Eagle rock but he changes the words to about being a drunk, have a look on youtube, is hilarious!

would have thought his humour was a bit outdated for this day and age. i used to think he was pretty funny when i was 16, but swearing and racism just for the hell of it, when it is not clever, doesnt do much for me.

some of his songs are still pretty funny, but I think his time is done.

I agree, I never got into him or Rodney Rude at all but just post tour dates if I come across them as I know some on here like them.
