Sunday Best

Postby ORDoubleBlues » Mon Apr 02, 2012 4:57 pm

Don't know if anyone watches this on Sunday nights on ABC 2 but I'd urge anyone that can to watch the replay of last night's episode that is going to be on again on Wednesday night at 10.20. Very disturbing viewing indeed.

I usually watch it more due to the lack of anything else on at that time but yeah last night's doco The Cove was pretty harrowing.

The Aileen Wuornos (female serial-killer) one last week was pretty disturbing too.

It's usually replayed on Wednesday nights on ABC2 around 10-10:30pm too.

Recently discovered this series not sure how long it has been going but have built up a nice collection on my PVR. Touching the Void was a cracker along with (suprisingly) the one about the Donkey Kong world record. Haven't watched the last 2 weeks yet

There was a great episode a few weeks ago about the drug industry, culture and ultimately gangs and murders in Miami in the 80's, but my telly lost reception about 2/3 in :(

If that sort of doco interests you FH have a look at Cocaine Cowboys. Absolute cracker of a doco and crazy to think all of that was happening in a "civilised" country.

Thanks fellas, couldn't remember the name, Cocaine Cowboys it was.
Crazy how it affected the whole Miami economy, real estate prices, general culture. Unfortunately I didn't get to see how the gangs part ended up, but some of the murder stats and brazeness was staggering.
