Not sure where to stick this.

The missus isn't much of a cricket follower but doesn't mind the ODI's and remembers them as a kid.

I stumbled across "Howzat" in my DVD rack as we were packing yesterday so decided to give her a cricket history lesson, I love watching in every now and then, Packer was just an outright prick, I love him.

Kerry Francis Bullmore Packer knew what he wanted and knew how to get it.

Some irony attached to him passing on Boxing Day, the biggest day on the Australian cricket calendar.

Been watching Letterkenny on the weekend, one of the greatest and funniest TV shows I've ever come across!
I love Canadian humour!

I read somewhere that someone didn't like the Das Boot series on SBS
The movie is one of my all time favourites and keeps to the "Boot" only whereas the series covers both on base and at sea

I found the series really good. Worth watching the 8 episodes

We've been enjoying a bit of Gordon Ramsey lately. Kitchen NIghtmares and Hotel Hell are both great.

Also, Instant Hotel on Netflix isn't a bad watch. Through the first round of season one so far.

Viking season 5 ended last night in what was a great last episode. Season 5 dragged a bit for me but there was a fair bit of setting up going on leading up to the climax in the final episode.

Also on Demand The Handmaid's Tale is well worth a watch, unlike anything I've seen and disturbing at times.
Hey LMA I started watching this a few weeks ago on Stan. Not a bad show, extremely disturbing at times but interesting.

I am currently up to season 2 episode 8. Few more to go for season 2 and then wait for season 3 to come out.

Highly recommended, particularly if you're into shows that are set in a future dystopia. Except the future isn't ruled by technology and robots, but rather it has regressed to a much simpler time when God and the Bible gave everyone the answers. This is because it depicts what it would be like to live under a Christian totalitarian regime - a bit like an Amish version of Orwell's "1984", or North Korea except everything revolves around Bible scripture as the law and satisfying the will of God in general. In particular, women have no rights, and are simply used as property.

Elisabeth Moss (Peggy from "Mad Men") is the central character, who is fantastic as a a 'handmaid' whose job is to bear kids for a high ranking government official whose wife can't conceive. The show examines her desire to rebel and break free of the regime, and it shows how American society slipped from today's normal into a totalitarian religious theocracy in the near future (which is part of what makes it so scary).
Saw this post has well. Have to agree with you that the actual scary part of the story is that it's not as far fetched as you would think.

Put Dave Hughes and Rove McManus on the show as well, then incinerate it.
