Thanks for that link. I'm sure that would have some of it, but rather than a season review just about Man City, I'm keen to find a doco based on just that final day, with reactions from Man UTD people as well as Man City... Not the actual game footage so much, but interviews with players, supporters, talking about how one team was up, then the other etc, as the time ticked away and goals were scored/missed etc

I watched a couple of the Americas Game docos again the other night.

Even though I hate the Patriots with a passion, the story of their 2001 Superbowl is pretty good. Bledsoe goes down with a punctured lung and in comes Brady. The rest is history.

Also watched the story of the 2007 NY Giants.

They are great doco's. Some of the older ones are great too...

Saw a good one recently about the legendary Philadelphia Eagles defensive duo Jerome Brown and Reggie White who unfortunately are both no longer with us.
Hard to believe in this day and age of Facebook, Twitter , etc that in 1992 White announced to a packed Veteran's Stadium - was for another event and not an NFL game - that Brown had died that morning and almost no one knew about it.

very good doco... I actually felt sorry for the lad... I reckon the bloke sitting next to him is just as much to blame, he was very fast to finger point... Also the way the left fielder carried on didn't help matters.. The kid had the ear phones on and it must have been soooooooo hard to sit there.

I sort of follow both the Cubs and White Sox and I vaguely remember that game against the marlins. Had the fielder caught it wouldn't it only have sent the cubs in the bat. Was it the same innings where the Marlins went and scored 8 runs after being 6 down? A win would of sent the Cubs into the World Series

Forgive if already mentioned but discovered the "Beyone the Glory" sports series that is nearly 10 years old now and was a good one about Deion Sanders - A guy who you would have thought had it all.
Another good one about Nick Van Exel who has had a major family issue since his episode was made.

This was on ESPN tonight. Amazing stuff.

Watching Hard Knocks right now. Its HBO and NFL Films following a team through preseason camp and the 4 preseason games.

Im 3 eps into the 2008 Dallas Cowboys season, which is 5 eps in total I think.

As good, if not better than Americas Game. Because its a series, you get to see a lot more, and get to know the people a bit better.

No matter how much I love Aussie Rules, I wouldnt watch a show about any teams preseason. Theres something about gridiron that makes for good theatre.

Good one on SBS ( I think ) a couple of weeks ago called The Good Son about the November 1982 WBA world lightweight boxing championship between title holder Ray Mancini and no.1 challenger Duk Koo Kim.
Kim, despite his ranking, wasn't rated by the American establishment but the Korean fighter took a fearful pounding during the 14 rounds and even though he was able to counter on several occasions, he went down for good late in that 14th round and tragically died later in hospital.
This fight led to reforms in boxing.

Was that the one with the guy from Married with Children and Modern Family on it?

I saw a little bit of that one. They were talking about their involvement with the mafia.

Could be a different one though,

I watched a good NFL Films doco about Peyton Manning last night. Went through his childhood with his dad and brothers, him picking Tennessee over Ole Miss, and the uproar that created. Then through his struggles winning a playoff game for the first 5 or so years at the Colts. Then finishes after their Superbowl win.

I was hoping it was new enough to cover his neck injury and departure from Indianapolis and move to Denver, but no dice.

A good one was on last night Harding v Kerrigan.

You wanted to believe Harding had nothing to do with it but Nup. The last bit of the documentary just gave it away.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
