Went and watched a couple of mixed comedy shows - Best of Fringe UK, Best of Adelaide Fringe etc

It's not bad, none of the performers are big names, but it gives you the opportunity to catch a glimpse of someone you wouldn't otherwise see. Some are hilarious and others flop.

If you're looking for a cheaper comedy gig it's worth seeing Adelaide's own Micky D or former Adelaidean Ro Campbell.

thread name change threw me, why not just start a new one?

anyhow, i went and saw Sam Simmons sunday night.

was expecting a bit hit and miss with a ton of weirdness, and it delivered exactly that. his best stuff is funny as hell, sometimes it crosses into "not funny anymore just weird" but overall worthwhile seeing.

it was actually a one man play essentially, about a muesli bar tychoon that gets blown out to see on his windsurfer and befriends and oyster before being raped by a dolphin. that pretty much describes it in a nutshell :D

most of the bigger shows will sell out, but you will able to find something smaller for sure.

definitely buy a ticket to a show though, otherwise you will be lining up to get into the garden for quite a while

Alexis Dubus and Pat Burtscher. Both are worth seeing over these final nights if you're looking for something other than the usuals.
