Don't read the one about the Night King's real identity then. I reckon it's on the money.

I do agree though, most of the twists have been predicted, does take a bit of the edge off them. Bound to happen when literally millions people are analysing the **** out of every minor detail.

So Ned Stark knew Jons true identity all along, he should have torn Robert Baratheon a new one for starting the war instead of becoming his hand. WADH

Problem wasn't so much the fan theories but the amount of leaks, worse than the Gold Coast defence .. if I'm still around by the final season I need to be off Facebook

It’s probably one of those shows that gets so hyped up you would find it hard to start fresh a few years after everyone else

Thank **** for Box Sets on Foxtel. I will have ample time to reacquaint before the new season, like I have with the past 4 seasons.

I think I jumped on board just before season 4.

The first season is incredibly confusing imo. But if you make it past that and get to know the characters it’s awesome obviously

So yeah watching it all at once would be better

Just finished watching season 1 again - it's amazing what you pick up on that you missed first time around, and how so much makes more sense haha!

I have this elaborate theory now about Ned Stark being alive still. I've read places people think maybe he's really Jaqen H'ghar, I reckon that may not be far off the mark.

Long winded so bare with me..

Yoren from the Night's Watch comes to Kings Landing to recruit for the wall. Ned allows him to search the dungeons below the red keep. Shortly after Ned is arrested and placed in there. When Varys comes to visit Ned tells him "I grew up with soldiers, I learned out to die a long time ago." Varys also informs him if he pleads for mercy he'll be sent to the wall to serve out his days.

Ok so here's my theory.. and it's pretty whack, but hey most of this show is a bit out there..

After Varys visits in the dungeons, Yoren comes in looking for recruits and finds Ned. The two swap faces (can they even do that the faceless men?), with Yoren knowing that he'll be sent back to the wall to serve out his days anyway, and as a brother of the Night's Watch that doesn't matter anyway, and Ned can safely return to Winterfell with his daughters.

This goes sour though as "Ned" is beheaded, prior to that though as he's being dragged through the crowd, he alerts "Yoren" to where Arya is located, who then promptly goes and grabs her and stops her from viewing the execution.

Fast forward a bit, and the recruits are leaving for the wall and "Yoren" tells them to hurry up because "Winter is coming" - the Starks words..

I then think when the Lannisters come to find Gendry, "Yoren" swaps with Jaqen H'ghar and escapes.. because let's be serious, surely there is no way Jaqen would get arrested/caught and thrown into the dungeons that easy being an assassin - but if he is really a petty thief.. a man is no one.

Well that's my tin foil hat conspiracy for the day haha

I've read the theories, and would probably need to see it again, but I give them next to no chance.

Whilst anything is possible in that world, it's not In keeping with Neds "death before dishonor" type of nature. If the secret of L+R=J was required it would have more optimism about it, but both Bran and Sam are across it.

From memory though, another selling point of your theory among fans, is apparently in one of the following seasons someone (maybe Catelyn? Can't remember) remarks about Neds body in the Winterfell tomb as not looking like his.

Sportsbet market on who will rule Westeros at the end of Season 8

https://www.sportsbet.com.au/betting/en ... of-thrones

FWIW I reckon ....

- Arya will end up dead (maybe at the hands of Jaqen)
- Cersei will kill Jamie, or have him killed
- Danaerys and You know nuthin' will both cark it, and their love sprog will assume the throne
- Among the multiple key player deaths won't be Bron, he'll make it all the way
