There's one thing that kinda irks me about this season, and that's the preposterous time sequencing. Apparently it only take 5 minutes to traverse the continent of Westeros now.

And it took Gendry all of 2 minutes to run back to the wall, but it's been taking the army of the dead several ******* seasons to get there.

One plausible explanation I've heard - white walkers are waiting for winter to truly be here - which it has been for all of 5 minutes in their language given they live for thousands of years.

So what's the rush :)
