21 and 22 Jump Street.

Watched 21 on Tuesday night, wasn't good, wasn't bad...Meh.

Watched 22 last night, again, wasn't good, wasn't bad. Meh. Some good moments in 22 taking the piss out of 21.

The Interview. Not bad but not really good, meh. I liked the idea of it and it had a few funny moments then some boring and stupid moments.

White bird in a blizzard

Has the chick from "fault in our stars" and "divergent" in it, the only thing keeping it out of the worse movies thread is her lovely boobs frequently on display and her preference for dropping F bombs thru the whole movie

Gone Girl

I finished the book on Saturday night. I was pretty annoyed with how it ended, because it was really good until the final chapter.

So Sunday night, we finally sit down to watch the movie. I know what happens, and I know all the characters. Obviously because of time restraints, they have altered certain characters, or taken them out completely. Also, things that happen in the book happen very differently in the movie. They have the same outcome, but just happen in a different way.

Then comes the ending. It is not explained or set up well in the movie, and is very rushed. It was already a terrible ending, but I think if I hadn't read the book first, I actually wouldn't know what the **** happened.

Both the book and movie are good until the very end....and then they enraged me....so it gets a MEH from me. Was decent but I wont watch it again.

6/10

We watched Gone Girl last night too and I couldn't work out how I felt about it lol. I think I'd expected a masterpiece from what I'd been told, but I didn't get hit by any unforseen plot twist, and there were holes in the plot at times I thought. Was well acted though and I think my expectations were likely a hinderance to me liking it more than I did. Overall though, I reckon this is the right thread for it.

Birdman...

One of the most overrated movies i have seen... Very close to putting this in the worst movie forum.

Took the tribe to see Paper Planes yesterday arvo.

Stretches credulity at times and overly sentimental, but still makes a welcome change from the standard animated kids fare.

My son has been watching "Backyard Ashes" a bit lately, it's pretty corny and a lot of things don't make sense but I can imagine houses out there being somewhat like that.
