Split

I thought James McAvoy was excellent in his role and the split personality disorder concept was a good one and worked well for the majority of the film until it was ruined by some bullshit in the final act.

It has so many god damn plot holes and some real farfetched bullshit moment too, including when one of the kidnapped girls was trying to loosen a sliding bolt lock on a door with a wire coat hanger which is just ridiculous and impossible.

This is the sort of film that Cinema Sins, a channel on YouTube will feast on due to it's various plot holes and plain bullshit climax.

Split has a connection with the Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson movie Unbreakable. I'll have to check it out.

Alien: Covenant

Pretty weak after expecting big things due to Prometheus. Storyline poor, characters ordinary that you never feel any attachment to, aliens that look cheaper and less realistic now than they did 35+ years ago and missing the scope, elegance and philosophical wonderment of Prometheus.

Finally got around to finishing "The Hateful 8". I say finally, because it's seriously long and slow, and I fell asleep several times. Thankfully it picks up around the halfway mark where things start to happen, and it has a good cast (Jennifer Jason Leigh outstanding). I still didn't mind it because Im a fan of Tarentino's work, but they could have easily reduced it's duration by 20-40 minutes I reckon.

Ah ok. Makes sense why you put it in the movies part :).

Haven't watched many of the movies, though I've got a few in my list waiting.

Apparently beasts of no nation is good but haven't watched it yet

Okay I suppose but a weaker imitation of the excellent first movie.
