Split

Interesting.
Really enjoyed Mcavoy performance in this and enjoyed the twist at the end.

I finally went and saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 this afternoon. It was ok I reckon, not as good as the first. Comedic value is the movies strong suit, it's a very funny film! Definitely funnier than the first. Good soundtrack and it has a great colour tone. The plot is the film's big negative IMO, it doesn't really have good one and that makes it a 'Meh' film for mine.

Yeah, the main story arc with his dad wasn't great, but Yondus my favourite character, so the ending f**ked me up

Drax is my favourite character alomg with Rocket and I like Yondus too, they're the best characters IMO.

Sugar Mountain

Watched this on Netflix yesterday. The Alaskin scenery and score is really good. It has Jason Mamoa in it. I've never watched anything with him in it before but have heard good things from the wife. After watching this, I disagree.

The story line seemed good on paper, but played out terribly. All of the characters switched between good and bad. In the end I just wanted them all in jail.

The only reason it's not in the worst movies thread, is because I think some people would actually like it. I'm still on the fence whether I hated it or it was ok.

Went to a preview screening last night of Transformers: The Last Knight in 3D at Marion. I haven't seen any of the other movies but turned the brain off and sat back and let it happen. It goes for about 2.5 hours it's ridiculously long and typical of a Michael Bay movie not much in the way of story but a million things happening on the screen at the same time with some good special effects. A bit of a visual treat but I had a headache when I got home.

An okay movie and I thought Anthony Hopkins and Laura Haddock from Da Vinci's Demons were both good in it. The Cogman character was good too.

I agree. I took Mrs HH3 to watch it last night.

I think the first hour or so was good. After that, it seemed to lose it's suspense and scariness. Also, the story's not put together very well. It seemed to really drag on towards the end.

A lot of the effects made it funny, more than scary.
