Intentionally snotting somebody, from behind, off the ball..
Thing is Granger is remembered as a thug,Matthews is made out as tough but fair. It's like he's above criticism because he's from Hawthorn.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Edited for accuracy, and 100% true.

There were far bigger thugs than Matthews running around in the SANFL in that era. It was just the done thing at the time.

Maybe up to and including the 1970s, but by the mid 1980s? At any rate, I'm not aware of any SANFL players charged with assault for snotting someone during a game.

Granger charged with assault for an on-field indiscretion? Would love to know the details of when that occurred.

You'd have thought the best player ever would won at least one Brownlow in a 16 season-odd career?

Except for the fact the votes are done by the guys least capable of doing them. When guys like Woewodin get Brownlow's and Ablett Snr, Matthews don't you know it's a farce

Robran wasnt fit to tie Leigh's shoelaces. GOAT no question, 915 goals at what 5'7"? A bazillion B&F's at the best club in Australia at the time (and still is). Imagine how many Magareys Lethal would have won if he played in the tin pot league, Ebert and Robran together dont come close

After the Hawks crashed out and then traded out club greats for 4th round picks you'd lost your a bit of your smugness, your level of arrogance in your posts had taken a dip too, good to see it was only temporary.
