Himmelberg and Thilthorpe not exactly banging the door down.

Drop Frampton, play another mid

I felt crows structure was compromised with Fogarty forcing Walker to play higher up the ground
Fogerty is a talented players but he is a forward, a big forward with a beautiful kick. He is not a midfielder or a mid forward or whatever the hell they are trying with him.

Did he even get a touch when he was on ball?

But you are correct the crows balance looked out a bit, need that extra mid into he side. Frampton offered very little out there today.

Fogarty is a forward only and will never be anything other than a forward. Beautiful lead and kick for goal but has zero ability to get a touch around the ground. Leave him inside 50

The new rules have killed Geelongs premiership chances, will be a very long time until their next premiership window.

It's just the game plan that's killed the window

IMO your game plan was set around slow but very controlled ball movement, this suited the older brigade to a tea.

The new rules have seen it almost impossible for teams to stop other teams moving the ball quick, when Geelong have the ball they can control the speed but once it’s in opposition hands they just can’t slow the game down.

IMO they have a small case to be disgruntled that the AFL can change the way the game is played from one year to the next so dramatically. I’m sure if they knew in advance these rules were coming in they would have traded differently.

I still believe they can offset the new rules with a different, more attacking style. I think on ability/skills, they can hit targets through the corridor. The legs may be slower, but slow, zigzagging, boundary hugging movement is Collingwood 10years ago.
Tom Hawkins is getting more grey by the 1/4. I have no idea how Jeremy Cameron will fit in. Fancy having 2 talls who will continually have to battle against teams flooding back filling in the holes.
It's time to go kamikaze and go back to playing the corridor.

Geelong have controlled their own destiny with their recruitment in recent years. It will be interesting to see where they are at in3-4 years from now...

Reckon Fritsch or Petracca probably get the 3. Agree with you about Lever though, also thought he was BOG.

How friggen dumb is Cunnington.
Your clubs on its knees and you choose to bump. It could've been ugly.
But lucky Lairds a bit old school and had some awareness.
He could've spoiled the ball or at least made an attempt.
He should get a game for stupidity.

Not much in it though. I mean Cunnington can be bit of a thug at times but there wasn't much in that.

WTF??
Absolutely nothing in it, you are still allowed to bump, he did it fairly and correctly.
They must go to the tribunal, should take all of 30 seconds to get thrown out

Come on man...…...the AFL can not make it any clearer. Yes you can bump......BUT if you choose to bump, no matter how clean the bump is if you make contact with the head you will miss games. He clearly made contact with the head.

Yes the AFL should just get rid of the bump but the current ruling they have is one the most black and white rules currently in the AFL at present.
