It just feels like something needs to be done, they cant just keep making media statements condemning the messages.

I always find this part interesting. The message when sent is only seen by the player, that's it. Now when the player shares it with the world, everyone sees it. Does it encourage copy cat idiots to get their racism out in public?

Not saying that the players calling it out is wrong, just its a tricky one between calling it out and not giving these idiots the time of day.

Dont do anything and the victims feel helpless, unsupported and it probably gets worse unfortunately.

Tend to agree.

Understanding there isn't likely to be infinite resources that is still fine, ultimately it would only take a few cases here and there where people are caught to make the news and then place the fear of punishment into the plebs messaging racist remarks.

Obviously not every person who speeds on the road is caught but ultimately the fear of being caught is enough to keep the 'majority' in line for most of the time.

This would be a good starting point in the fight against social media racism.
