Not often the whole coaching group is over turned so quickly so this group has the opportunity to set up their own system, their own dynamic to lead the team.

Under Davies there wasn't a lot of autonomy, that has quickly changed.

The immediate thought i have with that amount of game day experienced coaches is that you would you expect Port to be a more proactive in the coaches box, quicker to identify and make changes where required, quicker to adapt to changing scenarios/plans.

It's a good question and one I can't answer with any confidence.

At his best he was the best ruck man in the game and make no mistake, the rules were changed to curb his influence on field.

He was instilled as captain after Wanganeen so there's evidence to suggest he was a leader on and off field, I know he was held in very high regard in that role and as a leader.

His coaching career was on a hiding to nothing, no support given our financial plight and a list in tatters after the 3 minor and 1 premiership.

I could make a case for being included and for not.

Russell Johnston on the other hand, how was he not in there already?

Former AFL player and media presenter Warren Tredrea has been given a deadline — by 4 pm Tuesday — to pay $149,000 to the Nine Network (Channel 9) as legal costs tied to his failed unfair dismissal claims and subsequent appeal. If he doesn’t pay or arrange a payment plan, Channel 9 can begin insolvency proceedings against him
