Jase Burgoyne on radio this morning saying they have not discussed their tackling this week after having 19 missed tackles against North.

Poor tackling was one of the reasons Port lost, they were bad at it. After the game supporters were calling for mouth guards at training this week and it hasn’t been mentioned

Webster on tackling technique on Sunday
“A stat we had, I think we were ranked third in the comp for tackle attempts. We just didn't execute our moment in that tackle. So we’ve got to get to work at that definitely. You know, it's in intent and in technique. But again, I keep talking about North but their ability to be able to break some of those tackles, we ‘ve got to look into that ourselves. But from turning up and trying to put those tackles on, our players are in those positions to do it. We just didn't execute. On the weekend, looking through a number if them, a lot of it was a bit of a technique (issue).”

We're part of the 'Guard of Honor' for member recognition round; I'm hoping I get close enough to do Moe on Monty Burns and take Ollie Lord's knee out so the dribbling idiot can sit in stand and give us half a chance of winning!

If the 'Kenny' Team was still running on here, this spud is at CHF and in the leadership group.

We can all rest easy now.

Shockingly, despite having significantly less of the football, the Power still laid six less tackles than the Kangaroos.

“You don’t really have to be talented to tackle,” Burgoyne continued.

“It’s about effort. It’s something that we’re going to look at. Going into this week, that’s going to be a bit of a focus.”

Not sure why tackling is such a focal point (even though was poor), sure the 239 uncontested possessions and (-11) stoppage clearances are greater concern.
