Your right BUT it makes no difference if the guys
taking thier spots are performing.
For example HART out a massive out but Stevens
is playing as good.
The others have not been missed[yet]
Whereas the Saints cant cover the 6 they have out
and thier replacements are have an inferior form line.

Its called depth and we got plenty of it! Carn the crows.

but this depth has been created in-house by teaching and good coaching not by early draft picks, Massie, Doughty, Rutten, Shirley, Mattner and now Stevens and the list goes on have all developed their footy under Craigy

S-DOG

Truer words have never been spoken about AC depth.
Neil Craig what a coach and has learnt his trade.
I remember him coaching Norwood once a upon a time
and his results were very poor, but how things have changed.

Craig's results at Norwood very poor? Under Craig, Norwood managed to rebuild quickly (more quickly than Glenelg) from the 1991 Crows raid and had an excellent minor round record, only for us to fail in the finals..hmm, sound familar?

Very good point Richard ... Turning a team of kids into finals participants was a mighty fine job, one that I probably only appreciated after he'd left the club (well prior to his Cows gig though).

Different coaches, styles, players, techniques etc alter the game for a particular era and I think Craigy will figure prominently in this now and over the next few years.

Well Craig did take the Redlegs into a GF, something he's yet to do with the Crows (so far anyway).

I thought Craigy had a couple of poor years
but i must be wrong and retract my earlier post
that he had poor results with the legs.

He did at first they finished 7th in 1991 and 1992. But as REB pointed out out they were rebuilding. He then got them 2nd,4th and 3rd whilst the AFL raids continued. Pretty good effort all up.

He got them into a preliminary final in his first full season after all the "experts" had Adelaide finishing finishing in the bottom half of the bottom eight.
