CEASEFIRE
Meeting mends player rift.

Andrew Capel
FOOTBALL WRITER

Adelaide midfielder Tyson Edwards has admitted he and star team-mate have had club mediation to sort out any differences...................
However it is understood Edwards and Mcleod haven't been close for some time and will only discuss team matters together. The two- and thier wives- are believed to have fallen out over Mcleod's fued with his one-time close friend and Crows No. 1 member Lleyton Hewitt.....
....... Mcleod, is understood to have taken issue with Edwards becoming Hewitt's new best mate at the Crows. Edwards was a groomsman in Hewitt's wedding to actress Bec Cartwright...........
...Edwards did not use the word ''friend'' when talking about his relationship with Mcleod. He yesterday referred only to their working relationship.

MALS VIEW

What a load of insignificant reporting by Andrew Crappel.
This is journalism at its worst and coincidently reported at a time when the club is playing below its peak form. Many people have strained relationships in the work force, even a loveable person like myself has had work place issues.

If Capel wants a decent story he should put this on the back page:

CEASEFIRE

Tyson Edwards is increasingly irritated by the fact that he is a star hard ball getter who takes enourmous punishment to his body and then handballs to Mcleod running past him.
Edwards is upset Mcleod will not reciprocate and return the favour.

OR this one for Marty Smith's column

Why did Lleyton Hewitt used to wear his tennis cap backwards?
So Andrew Mcleod wouldn't get sunburnt.

Thats my view, what's yours?

IM Hearing you Heater31

if i wanted to know about mcleod / hewitt / edwards relationship i will turn to E News on fox or who mag's so lets keep it out of the sports pages.......

we are three weeks from finals, some players are playing for their futures, other clubs are already planning for next year, their is plenty of footy to talk about

most of us have played footy, most of us have had team mates we would not socialise with outside the club, but at the club you share the same goal and strive to achieve the same goal, this is not driven by friendships

I have had team mates i would not share a beer with but we were playing in a game and I had the footy and they work hard to present themselves and demand the footy, I'll have no hesitation in honoring that lead....... footy is a team game not driven by individual friendships and as long as they work together under the team structure and rules.......
