Some interesting things to ponder after Round 21

Injuries bite: Hentschell possibly out for the season but spare a thought for Tom Lonergan who has had a kidney removed and may not play again. Lonergan saved his career but may have lost his career in the desperate clash with Melbourne at Cat Park by backing courageously into a pack.

Best we forget: Adelaide - couldn't win the flag with no injuries (ok Hudson) last year and won't do so with injuries this year. Melbourne -Lost twice to Carlton and coughed up a six goal lead to an ordinary Geelong outfit. Bulldogs - A first week exit beckons.

End it now!!: For Carlton, Kangaroos, Essendon and Brisbane the end of the year can't come quick enough.

Way to Go: Last week I suggested that this year's model might be wearing an anchor and Freo were very impressive dismantling the West Coast Eagles yesterday. If they finish 3rd the Crows would not be relishing a visit from this hard running side. FREO FOR THE FLAG

Always right?: Not if you barrack for Adelaide or Geelong. If you Crow fans reckon you were ripped off, have a look at the replay of Geelong v Melbourne. On our own home deck, Martin Ellis gave Geelong two free kicks..but TEN to Melbourne. I know they don't have to necessarily be even but SHEESH!!

REB's ranking Round 21: 1. Freo 2. West Coast 3. Sydney 4. Adelaide

REB

The Crows problems coincided with the Andrew Mcleod operation
leading into the West Coast game, should have had it done earlier.

REB your dreaming if you think Fraud I mean Fabmantle are the number
one team for the flag.

My ratings : 1 West coast....2 others

It gets worse for Lonergan...he is in an induced coma and is expected to be in a coma for five days! Poor kid. He's only 22.

My ranking

It's open......

Freo playing great footy, finals no experience, Sydney form this year has been over emphasised and stuggle to kick goals against top sides, Eagles fell away last week but will be tough at home and will not want a home final against freo, Melbourne are adangerous outfit if they have a full list to chose from...

Adelaide, the easy observation is to write them off, Roo will play first week of finals, Macca and Burton hopefully week two of finals (if the crows win week 1), this will leave Trent as the only long term injury...

Positive is the club has depth, Massie, Torney, Hudson, Stevens, Skipworth (1 week), Proplyzia

Who knows maybe a Pfeiffer, Hinge, Meesen or Maric might just make a name for themselves

The hidden blessing, this forces Craigy to come up with something new, maybe a bit of unpredictability is not such a bad thing...

In life you can't always have the best scenerio and be handed spoon fed the ideal situation, it's easy to make easy observations but footy has a habit of making idiots out of people and defying what we believe is logic......
