In regards to Rucci’s continual bagging of the Crows with misconstrued facts re Crows fans not going to the Showdown. There was approx 1500 tickets not sold (where anyone with any allegiance could of bought) and yet the crowd was only approx 41500. So do you think the approx 7000 people who didn’t turn up were more likely to be the mostly Crows supporters who forked out money for tickets via Bass in the previous week (highly unlikely), so this means the majority of the supporters who didn’t turn up were Power season ticket holders, who have been missing in action all year! This is another point conveniently forgotten by Rucci, in his constant Crows bagging articles.

On top of this the point, which has already been made a lot of Crows fans are saving for much more important games in 2 home finals, rather than another minor round game. This is on top of all the other rising living costs, Petrol, Mortgage, Royal Show etc. If you had $40 to spare would you pay $39 to sit in the Northern Stand in the Showdown or attend the 1st final?

Might have had something to do with Roo's 300th, rather than the KangaRoos

Maybe it's got more to do with Nazi Stadium, than not wanting to go to a game.

first point - OK port fans to blame also, but embarresing for SA footy that we cant sell out a Showdown, considering how they pack them in out West

second point - ill leave this topic for another day, but Im a AAMi stadium member Cat 1 yet i get counted in the Crows and Ports figures...WHY? all i want to do is go and watch the footy, I dont follow either team! you should be a member only when you pay extra over the top of your ticket to the footy

You are a Member of the SANFL and the Crows and that other mob are owned by the SANFL therefore you are a member of both clubs as you have the same memebership rights for both club's home games.

its bullshite I know you should be able to nominate which club you would like to be a member of (or niether) so we dont get these over inflated membership figures

stupid...when I get the membership renewal they ask which team do you support Crows or Power!!!! WTF no other options!

If this is the case then all the Melbourne teams should get a portion of the MCG and AFL members to make it fair.

to be accurate the figures should be more like 40,000 Crows and 25,000 Power

Fair enough, the point I guess I'm trying to make is that the already payed up Port season ticket holders were just as much to blame as the Crows fans but this point never seems to be brought up in the media.
