crows v melb

Talk on the national game

crows v melb

Postby sydney-dog » Sat Sep 02, 2006 6:32 pm

Today, did we see the results of Craigy's mini pre-season, Crows finished with so much run, Melb dropped away badly

Big Positives

22 goals against a top side, with 4 of your top goal kickers out, this shows that all the players no the system and we do not rely on one player alone

Welsh, Bock and Perrie combined well together

Thompson's best game for the year and well supported by Doughty

Proplyzia, you are a class act, clean hands, strong over head, more then 25 touches and not one of them wasted

Douglas, this kid will get better with each game

Clarke, Stevens, Bode and Mattner all strong games

Most pleasing was no injuries.....

A good win to finish off the season....

The boys must remember that "perspiration is the perfume of success" Lots of hard work like they demonstrated today and they can look forward to a weekend off in two weeks time.

Pretty impressd by the pressure we applied today, however that must be constant for four quarters next week.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

SD....dont get too carried away, Melbourne are NOT a top side - play well at the MCG but nowhere else...

Freo are a big worry next week...might even go myself to see a good game of footy which should be high scoring unless the crows start flooding agagin..

Now Ive been saying all year that this kid Douglas is going to be a star..but no time for kids in finals, drop him back to the bays

I'm not getting too carried away, most of the footy world jump off the crows as quickly as they jumped on earlier in the year, the crows were paying $7 for a win over 39.5 pts, which I had a couple of $$$ on

All week people have cast their opinions that the crows will go out in straight sets, can't kick goals with no Roo, Burton or Hentschel....... what did we do today we kick 23 goals

Let me say this, Adelaide is probably the only club that can cover losses to the extent that we have had to and preform, Melb proved three weeks ago when Robertson, Davey, Pickett and Johnson were out, they were poo.....

Take Pav, Bell, Farmer and Carr out of Freo, they would fall apart......

Plenty of positives out of the game, bring Freo on, our boys will be chanting at the bit.....

But I can already predict the posts, when we beat freo, everyone will say, that's fremantle, no finals experience.

Crows proved their toughness today, will see how balls freo have next week, second final ever, away from home, with plenty of hype gulfing them at home

Yes the universe wrote of the Crows this year, and the
crows flabbergasted the football community with an inspirational
victory against the odds.
They were written of in many sectors, by Rucci, by Dutchy by Mal, by the
Talking footy crew, by Fox experts, by crows supporters, by many
safooty posters, by kindergarten kids, by my pet dog, by spiders,
cockroaches, fleas, by microorganisms, by parvo viruses.
Only resident football experts SYDNEY DOG and sidekick 1980 TASSIE MEDALLIST
stuck by thier infinite knowledge of football to tell us the slump was
temporary, ability is a constant.
How dare we all, myself included ever doubt S/DOGS wisdom.

Crows were too fast too talented and far too good.
The hapless Demons initiated 90 % of thier tackles in thier huddles
when they put thier arms around each other !

Next week its Adelaide Grows v Failmantle.

Dint Reilly strain his adductor or groin today?
I think that constitutes an injury. Hopefully nothing too serious.
