Kurt Tippett's playing future?

Why doesn't he just sign with the crows? I don't get it

Well yeah, I think the Crows have to be taken seriously as a premiership chance in the next two years. Certainly better than your mob or Essendon. Crows were one kick out of the gf this year. New coach B Sanderson has surpassed all expectations and has established himself as a genuine AFL coach. All power to him

Ah that doesnt mean Adelaide are a monty to win a premiership.

WCE made a prelim in 2011 in similar circumstances to Adelaide (coming from bottom 4 to top 4) and didnt get to one this year, A lot of things can happen so i wouldnt be getting too far ahead of yourself.

I agree Adelaide are in a 'group' that will be contending (Hawthorn, Sydney, WCE, Adelaide Coll, Freo plus you cant forget Geelong, North and Carlton will be good as well. As Hawthorn found out there is no such thing as a monty for a premiership.

Adelaide didn't face any real major injury issues this season either, unlike the Coasters

Ok I take all that in but I still regard the Crows as a serious premiership contender in one or two years. There is a huge team bonding thing going on at West Lakes and the only weak link is the GM/CEO in the front office who i believe is pretty much out of his depth. His politically correct pizzling on gun Bernie Vince earlier this year was appalling and just showed how weak he is when Demetriou phones him up.

Fair call SP .. So long as there isn't any major unforseen mishap, they should be able to contend genuinely again over the next few years you would think.

Bit of a slap in the face to Adelaide.

"I'm leaving, just not sure where to yet."

The record of losing players in recent seasons continues.

Will be interesting to see if he heads home, or whether it really has been all about the $$ all along.

I don't think he's shown a capacity to play well enough, often enough, under a weight of expectation .. If heads to the highest bidder he'll be in that position every week.

That said, I really do believe he's approaching his best years.

Tippet - $$$$$ and Mummas boy
Davis - $$$$$
Bock - $$$$$
Gunston - Rich kid Mummas boy
Maric - Left for more opportunity
Knights - Left for more opportunity
Armstrong - Left for more opportunity

If the expansion clubs never came in we would have the first 3 still playing for us!

The club couldnt have done any more to try and keep any of the above.

So going by your logic, Tony Hall, Darren Jarman and Greg Anderson were all "Mumma's boys" too? Gimme a break!
