You didn't say Port would be the team to throw in a late pick but that still is a crap trade and benefits Port way too much

Yeah, well, the Gold Coast have got a bloke who doesn't want to be there and the Cats want him. The Cats might have a bloke who doesn't want to be there and he apparently wants to get to Port. Not everyone gets everything they want though.

Ah Chee + 2nd rounder or Ah Chee and Young to the Suns, two blokes who immediately strengthen the squad, not so much the 1st 18, but the squad.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Gold Coast save some cash by getting Ablett off the books, Geelong pay Ablett what Motlop was getting with Gold Coast adding some on top, Port get Motlop.

Probably late pick thrown in somewhere for good measure.

Easy.

Rumours that St Kilda are real keen on getting Andrew Gaff.
That works for me, give WC picks 7,8 for Gaff and Pick 13.

Agreed, two years maybe get 30 games out of his aging body. Time better spent on Stringer, Gaff, Matera etc

Yeah I have gone off the idea of getting him. If we don't win a flag in next two years, we are going to be awfully shite for quite a few years I reckon and I don't think we're good enough to win one anyway. Need to look at the long term future
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

I'll call it. If they take on Ablett and don't bolster their speed and defense, they won't make finals next season.

According to The Age the Gold Coast Suns are requesting Mitch Duncan in a trade for Ablett.

Stringer met with Essendon again yesterday and will meet with the Cats today. Apparently it's down to only those two clubs and he will nominate one as early as this week

Both these clubs are in the box seat in terms of a trade. Dogs have made it clear they want him out and that makes there position weaker.

What would Essendon be likely to give up for him?
