He can go through this year with clean air (contract wise) and next year when the rebuild starts as the ageing top end leave and then the club decides is he the man to run the 4 year rebuild or is it a fresh start.

Bold call but I reckon the Doggies don't go on with Beveridge at the end of this season & Simpson goes on to coach the Dogs whilst the premiership window is slightly ajar at Whitten Oval.

WC start afresh in the rebuild with a new coach and recruit Sam Taylor home from GWS.
Taylor would be a good get but I problem is midfielder.

Shuey is almost done. Gaff, Kelly and Sheed aren't getting younger.

Gibneys first hit out was ok, Chesser wasn't much to write home about bit least he made it through. Hewitt is in this week which will be good to see how he goes. Hopefully Chesser is better for the run now.

As for the coach, either way we can have him stay on as boon suggested or we can let him go if there's a immediate option available. That's the advantage of being cashed up.

Straight swap for Ken.
Yes, if he's comes with Rozee, Butters and Georgiadis.

Fremantle is an interesting one there mate, 15 wins last year with 2 wins over West Coast and GWS ( 4 in total ) but losses to Gold Coast and St Kilda.

IN
Josh Corbett (trade, Gold Coast), Hugh Davies (No.33 draft pick), Josh Draper (category B rookie), Tom Emmett (No.41 draft pick), Luke Jackson (trade, Melbourne), Max Knobel (No.42 draft pick), Jaeger O'Meara (trade, Hawthorn), Liam Reidy (Rookie Draft), Corey Wagner (No.57 draft pick), Conrad Williams (category B rookie)

OUT
Blake Acres (trade, Carlton), Connor Blakely (delisted), Mitch Crowden (delisted), Rory Lobb (trade, Western Bulldogs), Griffin Logue (trade, North Melbourne), Lloyd Meek (trade, Hawthorn), David Mundy (retired), Darcy Tucker (trade, North Melbourne), Joel Western (delisted)

The addition of Jackson far off sets the loss of the inconsistent Lobb, Acres, Logue, Tucker all make the list a bit shallower and Mundy is a big loss.

Has their list improved?

i know i'm late to the party but I'm also interested on how the Flockers will go this year. I can't see them improving.

I would've had us 0-2 so far. So being 1-0-1 is a bonus.

Roughly 4500 left after half the competitors were out after round 1 (Freo, Bris & Geel the culprits).
FWIW I went Sydney last week & took them again this weekend.

Yep ive gone sydney this week, hopefully a few went Bulldogs or Freo, its pretty much whoever plays Hawthorn for me

To quote James and Lars...."sad but true"..its going to be a challenge for the hawks this season...

Hawks are super consistent with one thing this season.. 2 behinds in each of the third quarters, unfortunately the grand total of 4...is somewhat less than the 73 the other pr*cks have scored in this quarter in the first two weeks :( :(

I would have said that this would be there chance against North, but North are travelling well and will get over them, probably easily.

Is it you who does the first game margin with mates? First one to tip the result and exact margin of the first game of the round gets a carton. Great concept, I nailed it Thurs night.

Suns knocking off Geelong is massive, I reckon at least half the field will be gone again.
I went Carlton, a few nervous moments but still alive!

Im still alive, i went Fremantle over WCE. Lucky WCE lost 12 players to injury

Another hard week coming up, no way will i be taking Geelong
Surely 98% of people left will take Melbourne to beat WCE like i am

Geelong would be the popular pick this weekend, gather round.
