GIANTS Chief Executive David Matthews said the club had changed its position and decided to trade Boyd after reviewing a number of factors.

“First, the Bulldogs have made a revised and attractive offer which now includes their first draft pick (six), an elite player in Ryan Griffen and salary cap assistance in relation to his contract.

“Second, our coach Leon Cameron has consulted the leadership group and they have agreed they want a united and loyal playing group heading into an important season in 2015.

"So we've decided to recruit a massive sooky lah lah who arseholed his coach and then jumped like a rat off a sinking ship"*

Just worked out Crisps averages with a Collingwood supporter.

2014

13 possies a game
3 POINTS a game, not goals
4 marks a game.

The Maggies supporters not too stoked right now with Crisp and Greenwood

They were desperate for someone to kick to, now they have to get him on the park.

Plus, they might have been happy to get rid of Griffen???

My thoughts too. Griffen wants out, get him out. Boyd for pick 6 is reasonable- gives the Dogs a target which they have been severely lacking, since Hall.

Boyd develops and the Dogs are laughing- Griffen was not going to be a part of their next flag.

We were ranked #15 for kicking efficiency this year and recruited three blokes who's individual kicking efficiency was less than our team average.

Well done recruiting team, pat yourselves on the back for that one.

Neither will Boyd unless he lives to 150 ...

Yeah Greenwood had about 320 kicks, 79 of which were clangers last year. I guess you gotta give a bit of lee-way for for rushed center clearances, but still.

Maybe the doggies see him as the next Chris Grant, you know the big forward who gets them to finals and ends up in tears in the prelim. :D
Sorry dog fans, Granty was a super star and Boyd could actually turn out to be anything, all they need is a coach.

Slightly different.... Lance had a track record... This is more of a Tippett at the crows deal based purely on potential...

Happy with Boyd, good to see Griffen get to where he wanted to go, not so sure we needed to give up pick 6 but also not sure 26 would have been enough... Hard call.

I believe they are only giving Boyd 180k next year so can afford to pay Griffen as well

And he couldn't get a game with Collingwood....

I give you season stats for Robbie Warnock;

16 games for 79 kicks, 14 marks (< 1 per game for a bloke 7 ft tall!), 60 handballs, 4 goals and 30 tackles.

Surely Collingwood want him too?????

Must be great at clearances and loose ball gets, he's clearly not getting his 10 posseesions/game from aerial contests
