Contrast that with Jono brown who is the best thing that has happened to footy commentating in years.

Thats just Bomber, always fidgety and a very differant cat. There has been plenty of rumours about his lifestyle for years. He can be very abrasive and rubs people the wrong way from time to time. Most Cats supporters will probably agree he had worn out his welcome down there and in hindsight it was probably a mistake by Essendon and Bomber to bring him back.
He still is very bitter about the Suns job, he still maintains the AFL demanded the Suns not employ him

Just on this I get the feeling ASADA have thrown it to WADA now because they dont think they will win with the tribunal. WADA will go outside the AFL system for a result so this may not be over.

Think you are spot on, everyone has known for years the AFL are dodgey.
Im still pretty confident WADA wont appeal but will still be a few sleepless nights for people involved for another 21 days

I dont know Jim. I think WADA would like there chances outside of an AFL controlled environment and may wish to push this. But who knows really. Hopefully there is no further appeals and we can all get back om with the season.

Apparently WADA have to meet a higher burden of proof than the AFL had to.

I agree.
None of the amateurs were footballers - most were individual sport rather than team game players - golf, tennis, athletics, swimming types.

I know State Level Amateur Golf is subject to drug testing.... If you want to comply there is a search facility on a website (I think it's ASADA's) where you can check it's status. Some medication is legal depending of the method used to get it into the body.

Im not going to lie and say a WADA appeal doesnt concern or worry me but after doing a bit of research of the last few days I cant see them appealing. I think the Dank verdict the other day might have broken the camels back, had several more of those charges stuck it would be differant IMO.
They still have 20 days though so with their powers its not impossible that they dig up more.

Same for members of Powerlifting Australia. We are subject to testing at any time. A lot of guys pop for stimulants found in pre-workouts.

WADA appealing the decision.
Hearing date not set as yet but generally 30-40 days depending on work load

Thought so Jim. Didnt think it would just be left alone. Just the way ASADA went to bigger brother I felt this would happen.

According to someone interviewed on one of the morning breakfast shows, it's expected to be quite a long process from here. Yay

There was a statement released saying that they "hoped" to have the hearing by Christmas.
After that Essendon has said it would agree with the outcome but individuals can appeal which could take up to 1 year

Apparantly they have a massive back log of cases from all around the world. They hear the cases in order of priority

Unless wada can get dank, charter and the other bloke ordered to testify, and have their testimony cross examined then its a waste of time and money!
Somebody justifying their job? Or do they have something?
The players surely have no case to answer.
The club, however, that's a different matter.

Thats the question. Do they have something? They have the same info ASDAD have so..
