Not the first time bullsh!t from the vast media and publicity team headed by Burtenshaw at the AFC has been reported directly or indirectly on here.

Not confident it will cease in the forseeable future.

Positions need to be justified

When is it an evident problem? M.Crouch, Walker, Knight, Milera, Cheney. Hartigan, Gibson, Betts.....that's do it, yeah?

Seems like the issue ( hamstrings ) might be a flow on from the preseason work, unlikely someone has been going down almost weekly as an individual, seems like the whole squads program is being reviewed at the moment.

Knight missing his third week after being "managed" a fortnight ago. He must have been really tired!

Re - Wingard, not at all. Hinkley said ( rightly ) Wingard recovers quickly and it "might be" 2-3. It was one, great news, played well in the win on the weekend, kept Laird out of the game!

Clubs have been doing it for decades, saying this player is fit and playing and then pulling them out just before the game.

Why give clubs any more time than necessary to plan etc.

It seems to be only the media and opposition supporters who really care.

I think the media were about 0-5 this week anyway. (Especially Campbell Brown)

matters a lot if you're a betting or fantasy footy tragic. And I don't think it would really affect the preparation of the other teams really.

that is one I can actually understand given its tendonitis. Would have been a bit sore, so they thought it would die down in a week or two but clearly hasn't.

Some of the other ones, like the brad crouch one, is clearly not being reported to us as truthfully as we would like

Still incorrect information from the coach and therefore 'pissing in your pocket' as you put it, whether it's good or bad. He was due for a decent game.

Where does it say 'managed' is 1 week only? Soreness can stay for days or weeks, depends what's sore. He is also building up a fitness base from not having a preseason.

Brad Crouch is probably the one everyone is getting held up on, if you have known anyone with osteitis pubis it is literally a day by day proposition. 1 week you can feel amazing and the next week very sore! 'Indefinite' is the correct timeframe for Brad!

How many players who have been "managed" in the past have missed multiple weeks?

Coach in a presser straight after a game says "He'll miss games" before he has even had scans or understand the extent of the injuries and you're comparing that to the misinformation coming out of Adelaide?

Clutching at straws much? ;)

He may still be correct. The hierarchy have been very careful with what they've said about B Crouch. "At this stage" he doesn't need surgery. I'm tending to believe Robrans reporting on his injury than Brett Burton.

Hang on....hang on.....

You're saying that Hinkley's post match presser guess ( as it would be at that time ) of Wingard missing "2-3" is as misleading as what's coming out of West Lakes at the moment?

What a balls up this is well if anyone else has got a few niggles now is the time to rip them out of the team and give them a spell and give others in doubt a few extra weeks. If you're good enough a run of minor injuries like this this early in the season shouldn't be an issue at the pointy end.

Its hardly an injury epidemic. Only North Melbohrne and Richmond have used less players than the Crows this season.
I wish Geelong had the same epidemic!

There is a number of players who would have played that have played no games due to injuries

B Crouch, Cheney,Keath, Smith to name some

Fair call. Didn't even take that into account.
I suppose other clubs may have some yet to play too though.

Geelong didn't really know who their 27th best player was either imo. but in a way thats good as they cycle through a few players and work out whether those players are actually good enough.

there seems to be a pretty rigid hierarchy at the crows. so I don't actually mind there being a few injuries, as we have seen a few draftees actually play.

I did make the call about Taylor a little while back having suffered from similar for over 20 years.
I was impressed with the way he played for one game as he's basically just got to live with it. 4 weeks won't make a difference IMHO.
You could literally have 12 months off only to have it come back immediately.
They need to just play him IMHO as it will never be back to normal.
