That's fine except both players have nominated their clubs.

If they trade 10 to the Suns for JOM they can't trade a first rounder for 2 years. They are better off getting him to nominate for the draft and picking him up at 10 that way they are able to use a future first rounder in 2017 to try and grab Fyfe or the like

If there's anything to Billy Brownless' shit stirring G.Ablett going back to Victoria?

I don't think this is even close to happening. But I reckon we may still get one of them... business is business

Prestia has family in Melbourne but he would be the most likely of the two to consider it.
JOM zero chance, both parties have committed too much for it to fall over now. Hawks have been into him for 2 years and Jaeger has nominated them only. Plus his GF lives in Melbourne and recently upgraded her car to a new Audi which coincidentally is the Hawks major sponsor lol

Na that was the whole point of the Mitchell trade i reckon. We now have pick 50, one before Adelaide instead of 52, the one after. By all reports he wont go before then.

That theory is blown, Our pick in the 50's went when the Mitchell deal from Sydney was finalised, So unless we think he will get to our pick before the Crows in the 4th round id say jarman has chosen Adelaide

Maybe they can go into deficit for FS picks or perhaps pick 88 will be enough as anything over pick 50 is a zero points player.
Still talk that Lewis is off to Melbourne, Hartung & Whitecross to the Lions so maybe something back from those trades

I guess you're referring to his reporting on the Crows ' failure to follow protocol, and announcing the potential Gibbs trade before Carlton announced it?
Maybe the Crows are so used to pushing around SANFL clubs they don't know what to do when someone their own size tells them to **** off?

Since when has Gibbs been a gun? He's a good, solid player who I personally think would be pretty handy in a good side. Never been AA and hasn't finished top 3 in their B&F for 5 years. If Carlton want pick 13 and an emerging player then keep him. Don't **** up what we have done for the last 2 years for a bloke who is 27-28. He's not going to get us closer to a flag it's the development of blokes like Cameron, Lyons, Crouch x 2, Laird ect over the next 2 years that bats us deeper in the midfield. Carlton hardly hold the aces like everyone is saying, they could end up with a bloke for the next 3 years that wanted out.

Let's not get too carried away. No doubt the Crows haven't done anything wrong here, just a few people trying to make something up to feel better about themselves. But there's no doubt adding Gibbs would improve our side and IMHO any side that can improve when they're that close to the top 4 should think long and hard about it. It's just a question of whether we would be giving up too much for the potential short term gain. Sounds more and more like the deal won't get done, but I wonder whether both sides are trying to underplay their interest. There's no doubt at all Carlton's list management would be better off unloading Gibbs for a couple of talented kids, while the Crows, rightly or wrongly, would feel like adding someone with the class of Gibbs boosts their major weakness.

There was an article in today's rag, apparently Justin Reid was talking to the media about Gibbs ' interest in returning home before Carlton announced anything. Is this the issue he's covered in other articles, or is there more?

The Swans have moved their attention on from Bulldog Joel Hamling after Hamling announced he would like to be traded to Fremantle.

Instead the Swans are now talking to the man most threatened by Hamling's move to Freo, the uncontracted Alex Silvgani. If Silvgani agrees to move to the Swans the fact that uncontracted would make him easier to get over the line.

Apparently SOS has met with Fyfe.

Would picks 5 and 13 get it done? Would Freo be interested in any Carlton players besides the obvious in Cripps or Weitering?
