Would picks 5 and 13 get it done? Would Freo be interested in any Carlton players besides the obvious in Cripps or Weitering?

Would need 5,13 and Cripps to even start negotiations I'd think.
Next year will be huge with Fyfe, Kennedy and Heeney OOC. Couple of Melbourne clubs already getting $1m plus contracts ready

Kennedy and Heeney won't go anywhere

They mightn't but no harm in asking and at worst it hopefully drives their price up enough to force cap problems on the Swans. Heeney would have to consider $1.2-1.4m a year surely

Hawthorn supporters would've said the same about Mitchell.

Don't **** up what we have done for the last 2 years for a bloke who is 27-28. He's not going to get us closer to a flag it's the development of blokes like Cameron, Lyons, Crouch x 2, Laird ect over the next 2 years that bats us deeper in the midfield. Carlton hardly hold the aces like everyone is saying, they could end up with a bloke for the next 3 years that wanted out.

LK, true. But in YOUR side, he'll be a star, just like Eddie Betts. When good players go to good sides, it's much easier for them to perform.

Remember, he doesn't want out, his missus does. He's quite happy to stay but I understand there is a fair bit of pressure on him to move. If he can't, then he could be playing in the navy blue against her wishes. Whether that will affect him or not on field is another thing.

He's a very good finisher by foot and I think that's where he'll really add to your midfield, should you get him. No doubt the Crows, who admit were after a good finisher, would be tossing up letting someone go by and hoping a Crouch or CEY steps up next year but they won't be letting him slide by without a great deal of thought.

Yep. But not worth ******* up your culture change that you worked your arse off for. How good he would be in the Adelaide line up is an if, how he's performed at Carlton is fact. Give pick 13 that's all he is worth, don't bend over the rest of the playing list that have bought in on where the club intends to go in the next 3-5 years.... Losing prelim finals.....

We'll lose them anyway. Not saying I'm right, pick 13 is what he's worth. If they don't take it doesn't bother me personally.

Still think we're inconsistent in defence on legitimate talls. If Talia gets 3+ kicked on him we lose.

We also need to improve on the quality of the 2nd tier group of mids, 1 bloke won't fix that, it's the improvement of 5-6 blokes which really hope improves as they get older.

St Kilda will be the big player in next years free agency. Money to burn with Riewoldt and Montagna in their last years and will be after a big fish come end of 2017.

Can only go with the information I had at the time. Perhaps he doesn't fit your criteria, being only 28 and all.
