Rowey's mail is Lever's girlfriend has decided not to renew her contract with the school she is teaching at. "prominent Adelaide college" was the term used.

Gone.

Yeah I know, but not positive news regardless...
Rucci reckons Sloanes missus did something similar around his contract talks but that was because they were starting a business together. Hopefully something similar or she just doesn't like the school she is at.

Was fortunate to spend a couple of hours at the Crows tonight, surprised how candid Teague was about their signings...said Lever is 50/50 with slight leaning that he stays, Mcgovern however there was almost resignation that he is going home.

I read a news article that talked about the Rowey and 5aa segment on Lever. There are a number of reasons why teacher will not renew contracts. Since it seems difficult to get a permanent position in the private schools sector early on in tere careers they seems to go from contract to contract.

But as I said there are a number of reasons such as the school didnt renew her contract, she didnt want to because the school was full of dickheads, she got another position, looking to work part time, Big Jakey Lever knocked her up etc etc.

From what I have heard, they are nowhere near the money McGovern wants to stay whereas at least with Lever they are willing to come close to some of these ludicrous offers from Victorian clubs.

He is worth that but I'd be surprised if the Lions didn't match it especially if he only attracts Band 2 compo like many are saying. If the Lions could get Band 1 for him that would be pick 2 and I reckon they would happily lose him but at pick 19 you would think they match any bid

Length of contract aswell. Can't see anybody offering a 28 year old more than a 2-3 year deal. Most are saying it would take a 5 year deal to tip him into band 1. The AFL definitely don't want a repeat of the Frawley fiasco

What if she has decided to change careers or because Jake is going to be on big coin is going back to do more study????

Could be all sorts of reasons for her not renewing her contract, including maybe it was her employers decision?
