The local fish wrapper in WA didn't hold back on their front page.
Bloody brutal.

Media won't care until as previously stated they're ignored and it impacts the bottom line. Apart from the Liverpool area boycotting The Sun newspaper after articles regarding the Hillsborough tragedy that by reports and studies had a significant impact on the sales of the paper, I'm not aware of any media boycott that had such a significant impact. So the reality is the West Australian won't be losing any sleep over any possible backlash, especially if most is coming east of the Nullarbor.

AFL could step in an remove their accreditation, that might change some things.

The AFL enjoy the clickbait as much or more than the official media outlets. Anything to be in the news.

Good post. There's a ridiculous amount of people with media accreditation.
I'm sure someone on here knows the exact number?

Agreed. There's no chance the AFL want to reduce the media footprint regardless and they certainly don't want to try to control the 'fourth estate' with some sort of punitive measure.

I had SANFL accreditation for at least a couple of years, standards can be low.

Seat #1 although Screech is across the aisle

I wouldn't mind #6 but it's too close to Cornes
At least he's on the aisle so I could accidentally drop a bag from the overhead
