THE AFL won't entertain moving Friday night's top of the table clash between Geelong and Essendon from Etihad Stadium to the MCG.

After the Cats' win over Richmond and the Bombers' over Greater Western Sydney, Friday night's blockbuster will be between two unbeaten sides that lead the competition.

AFL spokesman Patrick Keane said moving the game, which had been suggested by various media outlets on Saturday, would not be considered.

Pity but it will still hopefully be an awesome atmosphere.
This game attracted the largest crowd at Etihad last year and should be similar Friday night.
Would of got 75-80,000 at the G but Geelong dont need the money anyway ;)
We will make 5-6 changes with Hurley, Fletcher, Carlisle, Heppell, Ryder and Winderlich all available.
Still see the Cats getting up by 4-5 goals

Geelong is one of only two teams to have a winning record against the Bombers since 1980.

I was watching Game Day when he said that. They probably would have smashed our team from Friday night. don't remember him saying 09 was the only good side we had though. i couldn't give a shit who was better. i'm just happy we're 7-0 and I just love watching them play quality football.

geelong have been a great side for a long time and yes 7/0 is a great start and they have some really impessive young kids....

but why he was comparing the cats to the lions when it was about Michael voss and his coaching I don't know....

Kelly out for two. Shaw out for pies this week as well. think we're in a better position to cover for Kelly than pies are to cover Shaw.

After this Grand Final win Dean Robinson singled out Stephen Dank as worthy of praise for his role in the Geelong win, through the information they shared with one another about strategies for improving player performance.

This doesn't read well. Can one simple assume Dank when rogue when he arrived at Essendon?

He forgets to mention that in 2005 we made the finals and were knocked out by eventual premiers Sydney, at the SCG, after leading by 4 goals in the last quarter. And as happens with young sides, we fell away a bit in 2006.

Makes for interesting reading but nothing will come of it. If it was collingwood or Carlton on the other hand...

I know. I read the second sentence 3 times and have no idea what it means.

I guess if you can find "one simple" then ask him.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
