Hawthorn have encouraged Harley Bennell to join them, promising him a 'suspension free environment'.

Yeah, they'll happily over look off field behavior to make sure their best team is on the park.

Jordan Lewis gives a Carlton player an unprovoked Karate kick and sweeps his legs out ala Johnny Lawrence Fromm the Cobra Kai's whilst the player is not looking. $1,000 fine
We might as well just kick the shit out of players legs now if they are going to get away during Finals. Now whilst my account was obviously exaggerated for dramatic effect I though a trip even accidental was a game. This was genuinely unprovoked, not in play and with malice.
So ends another edition of the Teflon Hawks. In the next addition of the Teflon Hawks - umpire charged with assault for head butting Hawthorn players elbow after actually awarding a free against Puopolo for dropping, flopping and rolling for one of his 6 bullsh@t frees a game.

If I lost my license I would still be able to work and my work wouldn't fine me $5k either so he has got a pretty harsh penalty in my books

When a club fines a player, where does that money go? It would look better from a clubs perspective if they fined him but had him pay this to the MAC or some charity?

As opposed to hmmmm let me see..... naming a part of the ground (where football has been played for over 100 years) after a bloke who kicked a goal in his 5th game there..... Wank - the crows have it in spades!

To be fair, that was commentators that named it as such.
The Crows just responded to the positive reaction it garnered.
