1 - He's learnt the fishbowl environment of a two team town is demanding beyond belief - He would already know about this from WA!
2 - His family would perhaps think Melbourne it more attractive than Adelaide - More opportunity for kids as well perhaps?
3 - Money - Yes
4 - Perhaps Essendon were willing to commit to a Roos/Goodwin type set up that might only mean a two year senior gig - who is Goodwin in this scenario?
5 - Money - Umm yes again
6 - Adelaide, while still playing, might not have arrived at their model as Essendon had in #4
