great game.
I support neither side, but was cheering for the Crows, and it was sensational.
Mrs DW made a very good point on this one: "if you are trying to sell the game to the world, that's the one you show".

Douglas for mine.
Bock played well too.
Surjan was incisive.

One of the best games of footy i've seen, especially given the result!!

I'm surprised that Vince won the medal, though there were a few others better then him out there, but he was in the best 5 - 6 for the Crows..

Thompson really showed his class today and he is now an elite midfielder and the leader in the Crows midfield, all guts and has really started using the ball a lot better...

Douglas is a gun - his pace, skill and determination is just all class - this kid is a 200 game player without injuries (Bayman - was right!!  )

Bock has really fitted in well in that back half and will be spoken about in the top 3 in the CHB position by the end of the year (not as good as Egan or Hunter) but gives really good drive and is so solid on the ground and in the air...

Symes had his best game for the Crows, really solid on the half back line and really assisted Stiffy in the drive forward and really gave some good rebound off the half back line...

Onwards and upwards to the Hawks now!!
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

You're right though, his bakes when his team loses are "special"....

Heard a few in 1993-94....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It was clearly an accident and he shouldn't get suspended.

The system is stuffed, but I agree with you he shouldn't get any games for that.
Just unfortunate he hit his head.

Spot on Smithy.

The AFL as rule makers, were always going to face a situation like this, given the way the rules have changed and game has involved the natural behaviour of a ball carrier is to fall forward when tackled because they are so easily "rewarded" with a Push In The Back.

I'm not saying thats exactly how it played out in this instance, but it's something we were going to see again without fail.

I reckon they'll try to send a message to players by calling Thommy up to the tribunal, but I can't see that he can get any suspension for that.

I really really really really really really feel sorry for Warren Tredrea.

he missed an easy set shot in the 2nd quarter and did nothing for the match.

No wonder Port are 0-3 with a captain that has no influence on the team.

yes, he may be very vocal but a captain should be a good player with good performances.

I think this is the last year for Warren Tredrea.

Chad Cornes - is there a bigger knob in the AFL?

Brogan - Play the ball you filthy mongrel.

Motlop - Is a sook, spat the dummy so many times!

Hope the AFL have a good hard look and review some of the 'off the ball' incidents.
