Port are apparently heading to Brisbane to meet with Jared Polec, in exchange for pick 11.

Would you be happy with PA giving up pick 12 for him Valleys?

I guess we have two options with pick 12.Take an untried kid who is an unknown quantity or use it on Polec. A known quantity.

I think we have enough 17/18 year olds who show promise (Wines, Colquhoun, Wingard, Neade) and the core of our list is very young so I dont think we need any more 17/18 year olds. I'd be after Polec. I'd try with the second round pick first and maybe a player but would be prepared to give up first round in a clean swap.

Is Polec really that "known" though?

I think he'd be a good inclusion, but depending on the quality of draft Im not sure I'd part with pick 12

true, i think if POrt see a young key FWD they could get at 12 i reckon they would hold onto it. 28 and a player (who though???) would get the deal done.

Naturally id like AFC to chase him but not sure who sando would part with? He did say he will be active in trade/free agency so I guess we will see.

Best mates with Brodie Smith but his manager did say he was a port supporter

@ FS- Exactly what Boon said. We have enough young talent on our list, so i doubt drafting 3/4 kids will be our priority this season. Ken did mention in a presser yesterday that he is 90% sure port will be using our 1st round pick in the draft.

At the end of the day, Polec has to express interest in coming to Port and that will be the big hurdle. No point in having the discussion if he elects Adelaide. If Port is the place he wants to be- then I think that possibly a 2nd round pick and a player will get the deal done- who we would offer up as trade bait though is anyones guess.

The player is the tough bit (who would have thought we'd say that 12 months ago?) - With the de-listings just made I can't really see anyone on there that Port don't have plans for - Hitchcock maybe?

I'd be disappointed if Port used their 1st roind pick to get Polec. Im hoping its used in the draft to take a tall forward.

If the Lions lose Longer, which appears likely, they may be interested in Renouf. Packaged up with 2nd rounder.

By the time the Adelaide media have finish squeezing their collective Helmets, Polec will be better than Dustin Martin.

Gee that 2011 draft for the Lions was a real beauty wasn't it - Longer, Polec and Yeo all wanting trades out at the end of their first contract!!
