Talk on the national game

It's the way he conducts himself on the ground too. Not only is it his skills but he genuinely looks like he is having fun out there and that's why the kids love him.

Since losing the weight and coming across from Carlton he is so bloody quick and one of the smartest footballers I have ever seen in any era for any club. He hits the packs full tilt and is clean. Anybody who can do that in any game of footy will tear you up and on top of that his foot skills are first class. Crows snapped him up for stuff all as he could easily command 8-900k a year.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

People can say what they want about the amount Adelaide paid to get him in Adelaide via free agency, but crickey he has kicked alot of goals since he has been in Adelaide.

He'd be closing in on 200 for the Crows by now wouldn't he?

Do Crow fans reckon he's overtaken Modra yet for most exciting Crow?

Pretty sure he kicked his 200th for the crows last night

I can only count about 6 or 7 small forwards in the all time list that have kicked more than him too. And he could pass most of them by the time he finishes

Depends on the definition of small forward. He will be end in the top 20 all time goal kickers and probably end up 3rd or 4th in the "small forward" list

He would have been worth the money we paid at 40 goals a season, 60 odd is just awesome

Bartlett is definitely one of them but I'm still unsure if Matthews technically goes as a small forward, if so no one will get near him

Have heard a couple of versions today. All versions have said he was removed for showing signs of intoxication but wasn't causing a ruckus or being a tool
