The draft sanctions will hurt as alot of bombers players will want out now and their contracts will be void if they do

Do the sanctions start effective immediately or do they start October 1? I thought the latter

Don't remember Chris hiring human rights lawyers to fight his battle.
Hird will be back before finals next year

Surely the AFL (or more to the point Demetriou or Mclachlan) have made their own mistakes in this fiasco to for the penalty to be so light??

Cheers. Missed that bit. Also when asked questions by the media did Vlad say that this was about sanctions for a club using banned substances??? Not an exact quote but he definitely said something about banned substances. It wasn't in the bit where ASADA's ongoing investigation continues either

SOFT ...... Why not just send them to stand in the naughty corner. Absolutely GUTLESS. Player admitted to being injected with a Banned substance, but the club doesn't admit it ???? Looks like the VFL ...Oops AFL look after their own local clubs. If it was an interstate club the book would have been thrown at them. Hird gets ONLY a 12 month ban back dated to Aug 25th ..... but still allowed to go to games, where as Trigg, Connolly etc were barred from going to games. DISGUSTED !!!

I'm hoping the AFL did a deal with ASADA for them to lay low whilst the AFL wrapped up this saga with the club before finals and that ASADA are now free to go BANG!!!
