Given the investigation is still continuing, Sam believes his focus has been compromised ahead of Saturday night’s game and therefore has decided to make himself unavailable for selection.

Making it sound like he's the victim

He is, was drafted to Port don’t forget ;)

The true test is if he stays with us or leaves in a year or two. ;)

If not guilty and he is continually hounded he might go home.

Clearly something fishy but from which end?[/quote]Theres really 3 ends here. First a young lady was touched or grabbed or something inappropriately and that must be the core of the issue and the core matter that must be dealt with.

Then there is what CH7 have been doing and said and then now changed and deleted what they have said.

Right then there is the 19 year old male that has been hung out nicely by the media. Whilst his actions initially are the cause of this, keep in mind the effects on young men and mental health.

Whats fishy and what end, not sure but alot doesnt add up.

I know you crows fans want blood and applaud how CH7 and Hussey has gone about it, thats fine but theres alot in play here.

I touched (sorry for the pun) in the first paragraph but I should of added to that a bit more when talking about the effects of her as well. Hard to get everything out when you typing on a phone.

Begs the question, if there is "more" and the AFL investigation has unearthed "more" why aren't the police involved?

( I understand if there's no complain lodged by the alleged victim then there is no police involvement )

I agree. But something just seems off about the whole thing.

Elspeth Hussey, not the young lady at the centre of the investigation.

At least that is how I read it anyway.

The mental health of both Sam and the young lady need to be taken into consideration.

Until all findings are compiled and verdict reached, the party at fault here is Channel 7 and their pathetic efforts at grabbing a headline.

Essentially where I was heading with it.

But it doesnt stop there, you could provide examples of where the media has gone full bore on some many different occasions without a thought for the people involved. Not just on "scandals" like this.

They simply have no accountability and hence publish and do what they like.

Summed up to perfection! It’s very disturbing in this day and age with how common mental illness is, that the media are quick to make someone a scapegoat and put a target on one person without all the facts in play. They are finally being held accountable in this situation by the sounds of things.

Whatever the outcome is, i feel for the girl as well. I don't think she realized how big of an effect going to the media would have.

Genuine question

has there been some sort of Elspeth Hussey led anti-port adelaide conspiracy that i've missed?
